Hello,

a bit about me:

My name is Nicolle, and I am currently completing my education at Fleming College as a RECE. I have spent much of my life surrounded around children and they bring a true passion into my life. I have two daughters of my own, who have encouraged me to bring out the very best in me. My experience with my own children and others has allowed me to have a complex understanding of what children need to be successful. I have a divine understanding that ECE have a responsibility to encourage children to learn through play-based learning. That they learn best through play, experiences, and problem-solving. That providing loose-parts opens a window of exploration for children to problem solve, discover, and be the creators of their own learning. I know that the success of children doesn’t just rely solely on the educator and child’s relationship, but also that of the parents. That I have a responsibility to my community to learn and listen with-out bias or discrimination, but to embrace the diversity within our community and the children in my care. Furthering my education with Fleming has given me a professional understanding of how important my role is in the classroom, as I help mold our future generation. I understand that these early years are critical and can create the most positive learning experiences that is deserving of all children. It is with my deepest sincerity that I feel competent to be the best person that I can be, as well as the best educator that I am capable of.
